More evidence of a lift in housing market activity has come from HMRC reporting that house sales in June were up 15% on May.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders report that gross mortgage lending in June was up 17% from May.
Increase For Six Consecutive Months
MoveWithUs report that average sales prices for properties sold for developers have now increased for six consecutive months and are now 16% higher than in January and the general trend is downwards for the time taken to sell a house.
Asking Price Gap Reducing
The National Association of Estate Agents report that "buyers are increasingly prepared to pay what a seller asks for a property - after the difference between asking and selling prices shrank to just 1.9% - down from a 6.3% difference in May".
Shortage Of Supply
Savills advise that price increases have been exacerbated in areas where pent-up demand has been chasing constrained stock levels. In the South West London sector for instance, a short supply of quality houses led to price rises of 6.4% this quarter.

All Shapes And Sizes
At Oaks Hamlet our homes come in all shapes and sizes catering for all from families to empty nesters leading to a happy and vibrant community resembling that of a traditional village.

Families in particular have been attracted to Oaks Hamlet particularly because of its location adjacent to the Country Park and nearby sports facilities and cricket pitch not to mention the Discovery School which is only a short walk away.

Oaks Hamlet has a real sense of place and is a safe environment for children with no through traffic and a road design that encourages very low traffic speeds. Houses themselves are designed around communal areas and there are security gates giving access to the Country Park.

The homes themselves are designed for todays lifestyles. Large open plan spaces that can be closed off into more intimate private areas as the need arises. At the hub of each house is a kitchen/family room as the focus of a familys activities. We concentrate on designing functional houses and in an Environ home you will find plenty of storage space catering for family needs.

The scheme itself follows the design of a traditional village and the level of landscaping has to be seen to be believed. It almost has the character of The Darling Buds of May with vegetable parterres and allotments soon to be available within the Country Park. It feels close to nature despite being very convenient for the motorways, rail stations and airports.

Kings Hill itself offers all the normal amenities with shopping centre, community and medical centre, David Lloyd sports and leisure centre, championship golf course, pub, restaurants and much more. Safe pedestrian and cycle routes link to these facilities.
